When a middle college was introduced on the UNCG campus in 2011, the goal was “a unique educational experience for students seeking and/or needing a different educational experience than the traditional setting.” Many UNCG faculty and administrators, including Dr. Julie Edmunds, were involved in its development. US News & World Report ranks it among the top 50 high schools in the state, based on performance on state-required tests, graduation rate, and how well the school prepares its students for college.
