In Fall 2025, UNCG Magazine celebrates students, alumni, and faculty of the performing arts.

• Before landing his starring role in the HBOMax series “The Pitt,” a hyper-realistic drama set in a Pittsburgh emergency room, Patrick Ball ’22 was just a kid from Greensboro, unsure as of what life had in store for him. Read more.

• An exhibition from the Smithsonian American Art Museum, “Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice,” brings together artworks illustrating the lives and impact of cultural figures, civil rights advocates, and mid-century politicians and world leaders. Read more.

• “Wicked: For Good” is in theaters now. UNCG alumnus Dominick Amendum ’01 was production music supervisor on both parts of John M. Chu’s film adaptation of the musical. Amendum also worked with “Wicked” on stage between 2006 and 2017. UNCG Magazine profiled him in the Fall 2024 issue. Read more.
